Telescopic Tube Shocks
There are two main styles of telescopic tube shocks, the twin tube and mono tube designs. We’ll outline each one below for a better understanding of them. Both styles of car shocks are designed to work with your vehicle’s suspension springs to dampen their stored energy and do not affect ride height.
Twin Tube Shocks
The twin tube design has two metal tubes of different sizes with one inside the other.The smaller inner tube is filled with oil and houses the piston which moves up and down inside the inner tube when the shock is compressed and extended.
